Brooklyn Nets star Kyrie Irving had quite a night against the Chicago Bulls on Tuesday, and saying that it was ā€œroughā€ would be an understatement.

Early in the third quarter of the game as he was driving for a layup, Irving was hit in the face by an inadvertent elbow fromĀ  Bulls big man Nikola Vucevic. Obviously, the Nets star went down in pain and lied on the floor for a few minutes as he was attended by trainers.

Fortunately for the Nets, Irving stood up on his own and went to the locker room. However, he didn't return at that point as Brooklyn escaped with a 115-107 victory.

Here's a close look at the play that definitely hurt for Irving:

Kyrie Irving finished the game with 13 points, three rebounds and five assists in just 20 minutes of play. Luckily for Brooklyn, they had Kevin Durant and Joe Harris exploding for 21 and 17 points, respectively.

Bulls guard Zach LaVine dropped 41 for the Chicago franchise in a bid to keep their playoff hopes alive, but it was not enough to counter the Nets' balanced offense.

Hopefully Irving is fine and that he didn't sustain any injury from the incident. With the playoffs nearing and James Harden set to return to the roster as well, the last thing Brooklyn would want is another member of its ā€œBig 3ā€ going to the sidelines.
