The Brooklyn Nets will have a lot on their plate this summer following what turned out to be a highly disappointing 2021-22 campaign that ended with an embarrassing first-round sweep at the hands of the Boston Celtics. One of the biggest items on their agenda is the future of Steve Nash as the team's head coach.
There have been rumors of Nash getting sacked because of his team's shortcomings not only this season but since the Hall of Fame point guard took over the helm in Brooklyn in 2020. According to NBA insider Kevin O'Connor of The Ringer, however, Nash can breath easy — for now at least:

It sounds like Nash's job isn't in immediate danger right now. However, O'Connor's caveat here is that the Nets front office has yet to make its year-end assessment of the team and the coaching staff. Depending on how things go, Nash could very well be shown the door if the cards don't fall in his favor. After all, the Nets need a scapegoat for their forgettable season, right? Who says that can't be or won't be Steve Nash?
