Kevin Durant was hoping an old-as-dirt tactic would pay off and allow his Brooklyn Nets to come out with an improbable win. With Anthony Davis “butt-naked” open on the wing with the game on the line, Durant and his teammates screamed from the sidelines, hoping to rattle the All-Star forward.

Durant was almost knocked down by a late-contesting Wilson Chandler but was glad to see Davis' effort clanked off the rim, giving his Nets an improbable, but merited 104-102 win on Tuesday.

The Nets struggled to shoot the ball efficiently from the floor and from beyond the arc but made up for it by burying most of their chances at the foul line and committing only 10 turnovers in the game.

Just before the end of regulation, it was Davis, a capable, but pedestrian 3-point shooter (33.5% this season) taking the last shot — and the percentages paid off.

While the team screaming probably didn't have much to do with Davis missing as much as his own shooting prowess, Durant and company are glad to have pulled off one of their greatest wins of the season.

The Nets have now won three straight games since the firing of Kenny Atkinson, helping Jacque Vaughn to a 3-0 start to his head coaching career.
