It's not like the Giants are that far away from having a competent roster. They have some decent weapons on offense but lack talent on the offensive line. Restructuring the big men upfront will go a long way for New York, as Daniel Jones will finally have the protection he needs under center.

We could see some big moves from the front office in the offseason. The Giants have a decent defense but a splash signing in free agency would make a ton of sense. Another big move could involve Saquon Barkley as trade rumors have begun to swirl. Lastly, with Brian Daboll as the head coach, we could see Daniel Jones make a massive leap in production.

With that said, here are four bold Giants offseason predictions.

Giants Offseason Predictions

4. Front office spends most of their draft picks on offensive linemen

Winning the battle in the trenches goes a long way. The Giants struggled all last year as they couldn't control the line of scrimmage. That needs to change and the best way to do that is finding talent through the NFL Draft. New York has a great batch of draft picks at their disposal, giving them an opportunity to make massive improvements to the roster. Look for them to focus on the offensive line, as it could be the turning point for this franchise.

3. New York surprisingly signs JC Jackson in free agency

The defense was actually solid for New York last year. With the front office likely focusing on the offense, it'd be wise for the team to acquire at least one big-name free agent in the offseason. The Giants have an above-average secondary, but having JC Jackson out there would give this defense the help they need to become a problem in the NFL.

If the Giants can retain the core of their defense while adding JC Jackson, the defense could make a big leap in production. Jackson is one of the league's best cornerbacks, as he's proven to be a reliable option for the New England Patriots. We'll see how the offseason plays out, but New York should set their sights on Jackson or another big-name defensive star in free agency.

2. Saquon Barkley is traded away for a haul of picks

When healthy, Saquon Barkley is one of the best running backs in the league. However, he's struggled bouncing back and his clock might be running out in New York. Considering the other holes on the roster, it'd be wise of the Giants to trade Barkley away for as much as they can get and replace him with a veteran running back in free agency.

Some of the top names available are James Conner, Chase Edmonds, Sony Michel, and Corddarelle Patterson. Each of them would make sense for the Giants next year if they end up trading Saquon Barkley.

1. Daniel Jones makes massive improvements under Brian Daboll's coaching

Nobody is sure how to evaluate Daniel Jones. He's shown flashes of greatness but sometimes looks like a below-average quarterback as well. Daboll is known as a quarterback guru after playing a large part in developing Josh Allen for the Buffalo Bills. Brian Daboll will aim to dial in Daniel Jones' abilities, which could yield spectacular results.

If Jones can prove himself as a reliable quarterback, the future in New York becomes incredibly bright. We'll see how it plays out, but the Giants should be doing everything possible to give Daniel Jones one last chance to prove he is the franchise quarterback they originally believed he could be.
