Most of the problems lay within the offensive line. Zach Wilson had virtually no time to throw the ball and they struggled in the run game as well. This has to be a top priority for the Jets, as ensuring the trenches will make the offense better in the long run.

New York lacks offensive weapons as well, so don't be too shocked if they throw some money around during free agency. With the tight end and wide receiver groups needing some help, we could see two big signings for the Jets. Furthermore, this franchise has a chance to make a splash pick in the NFL Draft, but is selecting a prospect the best option?

With that said, here are our four bold Jets offseason predictions.

Jets Offseason Predictions

4. New York goes all-in on fixing the offensive line

After watching a full season of the quarterbacks running for their lives on nearly every play, it's time for the Jets to address the offensive line. Whether it's through free agency, trades, or the NFL Draft, we should see New York make numerous moves to improve the trenches. Doing so will make Zach Wilson's life much easier, allowing him to properly develop.

3. Mike Gesicki signs with the Jets

The tight end position was one of the worst in the league last year and it's time New York finds a competent option. Mike Gesicki is set to hit free agency and seems to be one of the most sought-after players this offseason. The Jets might have to spend big money to sign him, but they can easily afford it with their cap situation.

Mike Gesicki is one of the most reliable tight ends in the league. He can block well and has proven to be a consistent pass option when given the opportunity. He'd become a safe target for Zach Wilson, which is essential for any quarterback. The Jets' offense would immediately improve if they can sign Mike Gesicki.

2. The front office signs Allen Robinson

Although he struggled throughout the season, there is reason to believe Allen Robinson can bounce back with a new team. It seemed like the Chicago Bears didn't want to get him involved, so he can't be fully blamed for his poor performances. Regardless, if the Jets can sign Allen Robinson, he'd join Elijah Moore and Corey Davis in what could be a dangerous receiving core.

1. Jest trade the fourth overall pick for a haul

It depends on how the first three picks go, but trading back would make tremendous sense. New York could leverage a deal to receive a massive haul of draft picks for the next couple of years. With the Jets in a full rebuild, the front office could set themselves up nicely and add more young prospects to the roster. We'll see how it plays out, but this franchise should be considering every option with the NFL Draft quickly approaching.
