Louisville's Mekhi Becton has been pegged by some as the best offensive tackle in this year's NFL Draft class, but he had a bit of a slip-up during the Scouting Combine back in February.

According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Becton was flagged for a failed drug test at the Combine and will have to go into Stage 1 of the league's intervention program (as part of the new CBA).

Mekhi Becton did not have any failed drug tests in college, so this probably won't affect his standing as a likely first-round pick (potentially in the top 10) next week.

The 21-year-old, who stands 6-foot-7 and weighs 364 pounds, ran a 5.1-second 40-yard dash, which was a truly remarkable feat for the heaviest man at the Combine.

Becton spent three seasons at Louisville and is considered a a high-risk, high-reward type of gamble by some, but there is no denying the kid is an athletic freak given his combination of size, strength and athleticism.

He will be fighting with other tackles such as Alabama's Jedrick Wills and Iowa's Tristan Wirfs for the title of first tackle to go off the board. With the New York Giants in need of offensive line help and picking fourth overall, it seems very possible that Becton could end up blocking for Daniel Jones come Week 1 of 2020.

The NFL Draft will begin on Thursday, April 23 and will continue on through Saturday, April 25. Due to the situation surrounding COVID-19, the draft will be held virtually, with each team's representatives in different locations.
