Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is considered one of the top prospects in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

However, there is a very big red flag when it comes to Tagovailoa. That would be his injury history.

According to Charean Williams of ProFootballTalk, the quarterback has a simple response. He's bionic now.

“I wasn’t bionic then; I am bionic now,” said Tagovailoa.

Tagovailoa has had injuries to both ankles and his hip. The hip injury happened in his 2019 season. When it first happened there were legitimate talks that could end his career.

That ended up not being the case at all. However, the fact that it was brought it up is an issue. Already having ankle injuries, Tagovailoa suddenly has a serious hip problem. It appears that has been fixed, but at one point it was such a serious injury his future was in question.

You can see why teams might be a little worried about that. Do you want to spend a high draft pick on someone who has already had career-threatening injuries?

The answer seems to be yes, as Tua Tagovailoa is still extremely high on boards. Most people don't have him getting past the Miami Dolphins at No. 5.

There's a strong chance he goes before that as well, if a team trades up for a pick it's very possible in fact.

So how is Tagovailoa trying to keep the stock high when asked about his injuries. He's calling himself “bionic”. Honestly, that might not be the right move. That might scare teams off even more. His point is obvious though.

Tua Tagovailoa is saying that he feels good. His body has been repaired and he's ready to go. The quarterback's game tape speaks for itself. Now he needs to prove his bionic body won't let him down. If so, teams will be salivating at the chance to get him.
