The 2020 NFL Draft is set to officially be held in Las Vegas, which will mark the same year that the Oakland Raiders make their move to the city.

NFL commissioner Roger Goodell revealed the draft's location on Wednesday, with Las Vegas beating out Cleveland/Canton, Kansas City, and Denver for the honors.

The 2019 NFL Draft will take place in Nashville before heading to Sin City the following year.

Here's what Goodell had to say about the decision, courtesy of John Breech of CBS Sports:

“The NFL Draft is one of the most-anticipated events of the year and we are excited to take it to Las Vegas,” Goodell said. “We look forward to working with the Raiders, Las Vegas officials and the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority to create an unforgettable week-long celebration of football for our fans, the incoming prospects and partners.”

Raiders owner Mark Davis also spoke about the draft being held in the future home of his franchise:

“The Raiders are very excited for Las Vegas and are proud to help host the 2020 NFL Draft,” Davis said in a statement. “Las Vegas is the entertainment capital of the world and will provide a tremendous experience for the NFL and its fans.”

Well, if there's something that's certain about this announcement, it's that sportsbooks throughout Vegas are going to be very happy about the atmosphere upgrade when NFL fans come to town in a few years.

The 2019 NFL Draft will get underway in Nashville on April 25.
