Antonio Brown is easily one of the NFL's best wide receivers of this era. The former Pittsburgh Steelers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers star was the headliner for some juggernaut squads over the years. However, as of the time of writing this article, Brown hasn't been signed to a new team yet.

In an interview with TMZ Sports, Antonio Brown talked about his confusion as to why he hasn't signed a new contract with an NFL team. The wide-out still believes that he's one of the most productive players in the league, which makes his situation more baffling for him. (via The Sporting News)

“I still feel like I can put up big numbers, and I see what these guys are getting paid. I just wonder why my value isn't being upheld as the same.”

Brown is referring to Tyreek Hill and Davante Adams, two top wide receivers that have gotten huge new contracts for their new teams. While Brown is arguably better than both of these wide-outs at their primes, there's one major reason why teams have been hesitant to give the ex-star the same bag.

Off the NFL field, Brown is widely-known to be a massive headache for teams. His time with the Steelers was insanely productive, flourishing under the Tomlin-Roethlisberger offense. However, a messy breakup that saw him burn bridges with the organization left a sour taste on everyone's mouth. His time with the Oakland Raiders was much worse, as it saw Brown do increasingly ridiculous things off the field to the detriment of his character.

After winning a chip with Tom Brady on the Buccaneers, NFL fans thought that Brown had finally mellowed out. However, his second season with the team was disastrous: after a fiasco surrounding his fake vaccination card, the wide receiver made a public show of leaving the team after a dispute with recently-retired coach Bruce Arians. The ensuing drama surrounding his ankle injury only made things worse.

There's no denying Brown's talent on the field, obviously. His on-field production alone would make him a prime candidate for the Pro Football Hall of Fame. However, his penchant for stirring up drama wherever he goes has many many NFL teams wary of signing him.
