After a one-game stint with the New England Patriots earlier in the season, star wide receiver Antonio Brown has not played in the NFL since. His agent, Drew Rosenhaus, does not expect that one game to be the only game that his client plays in 2019.

The current situation regarding Brown is that he is waiting for the NFL investigation into the accusation of sexual assault to conclude. Rosenhaus expects his client to sign with a new team after the investigation is ‘behind him' and the expectation is that will come in the ‘near future.'

“I do expect Antonio to play again this season,” agent Drew Rosenhaus said on “Squawk Alley.” “Hopefully we will get the NFL investigation behind him in the near future and he can sign with a new team.”

While there has been no mention of specific teams that are interested in Brown's services, there are teams that are waiting for the investigation to conclude.

“I’ve said there is interest in him from teams that are looking for the investigation to conclude and I fully expect Antonio to be playing this season,” he said.

Brown began his NFL career with the Pittsburgh Steelers and played nine seasons with the team. He forced his way out of the Steel City in the offseason and was traded to the Oakland Raiders but never played a single game for them.

Brown managed to get the Raiders to trade him to the Patriots after a variety of strange off-field incidents between suffering frostbitten feet and a dispute over his helmet model among others. He has totaled 841 receptions for 11,263 receiving yards and 75 receiving touchdowns in 131 games.
