The Manning family is back at it. This time, it's not the recently benched Eli Manning, or the long retired Peyton Manning, but their nephew. Arch Manning, Cooper Manning's son, is a freshman in high school. The hype train is already starting up. He's currently the starting varsity quarterback for Isidore Newman Academy in New Orleans, and the offers are sure to rolling in soon. Ole Miss and Tennessee have already shown some interest, according to USA Today's Dana Benbow.

Arch's grandfather, Archie, had some high praise for the little Manning: “He’s probably a little ahead of them as a freshman,” Archie Manning said.

Both Peyton and Eli didn't start on varsity as freshman, so it could be true. Arch is definitely a promising prospect, but the hype train that will inevitably reach unprecedented heights will soon begin. It's a little too early to anoint the youngest Manning as the savior of some forsaken NFL franchise (looking at you, Miami), but Arch certainly has promise. For now, we'll have to settle for his Uncle Eli, which isn't much of a consolation prize.

Knowing college football, offers from top schools will be arriving at the Manning home shortly. Alabama, Clemson, and other top programs like Georgia and Ohio State will probably have offered Manning by the end of his sophomore year. Another offer from USC (aka Quarterback U) will also roll in. Arch will have his choice of any school in America, barring an injury.
