Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey has pledged to help Colin Kaepernick's cause. The 43-year-old tech giant executive has just made a huge $3 million donation to the former quarterback's Know Your Rights Camp, aiming to “advance the liberation and well-being of Black and Brown communities.”

In a tweet sent on Wednesday, Dorsey announced that he was donating to Kaepernick's camp as part of his recently launched LLC called Start Small:

The Know Your Rights Camp gets a huge boost from this hefty contribution from the Twitter CEO as it continues to advocate for racial equality and empowerment of minorities across the world. Amidst the nationwide protests against racial and social injustice due to the killing of George Floyd late last month, the Know Your Rights Camp has also launched a new project called the Legal Defense Initiative which is geared towards helping protestors all across the US to access different legal resources and assistance.

Colin Kaepernick founded KYRC in 2016 and has been adamantly pushing for the advancement of the disadvantaged youth in different cities such as Atlanta, Oakland and even Amsterdam through different seminars and activities. The camp also launched a relief fund in April 2020 for individuals who were gravely affected by the COVID-19 pandemic where Kaepernick personally donated $100,000 to the fund.

Dorsey's #startsmall initiative was also launched earlier in April where he announced that he will be shifting $1 billion of his Square equity to help different global sectors and groups battle the coronavirus pandemic. As of last month, the company has already reached almost $88 million in donations towards different organizations spearheading the fight against the pandemic. With this latest move, the company has now shifted to also aiding other important and urgent causes like social injustice.
