Colin Kaepernick has been trying to work his way back into the NFL for quite some time now. He has advertised his skills and talked to multiple teams, but nothing has come to fruition.

However, Kaepernick has a chance to show the league some prime potential Saturday at Michigan's upcoming spring game. The quarterback will hold a throwing exhibition at halftime, including players eligible for the 2022 NFL Draft.

NFL insider Field Yates tweeted the news Friday afternoon.

While no reports specifically state it, don't be surprised if you see Kaepernick showing his skills along with the young prospects.

Along with holding the NFL quarterback prospect exhibition, Kaepernick is an honorary captain for the scrimmage.

The former NFL quarterback only has one tie to the Wolverines: the team's head coach. Jim Harbaugh is entering his eighth season with Michigan, but also spent time coaching in the NFL. He was the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers from 2011 to 2014, while Kaepernick was the quarterback there from 2011 to 2016.

The game, Michigan's Maize and Blue spring game, will kick off Saturday, April 2 at noon. Many Wolverines stars are slated to join the NFL this offseason, including star defensive end Aidan Hutchinson and running back Hassan Haskins.

It's unclear whether or not Kaepernick will be joining draft prospects with NFL contracts this offseason. However, according to Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll, he most likely isn't headed to Emerald City.
