The Booger Show has a nice ring to it, we guess, but Deion Sanders is out there actively campaigning for Booger McFarland to replace Jason Witten on Monday Night Football.

The campaigning by the football great comes hot on the heels of the announcement that Jason Witten is coming out of retirement to return to the Dallas Cowboys — an announcement that has set the Twitter-verse on fire, and made Witten a trending topic for a brief period of time.

For his part, McFarland (real first name: Anthony) is a former Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive tackle who was drafted into the NFL straight out of college (he attended Louisiana State University). It doesn't look like he's going to return to the football field any time soon, so his job is safe for now.

In other Sanders news, his son, Shilo, is currently making headlines for his burgeoning football career. Like father, like son?

Well, not quite. According to CBS Sports, Shilo has a long way to go to catch up to his more famous father.

Travaris Johnson, the coach for South Carolina State — where the younger Sanders will be attending later this year and will play alongside fellow football scion Jaycee Horn, the son of Joe Horn — says that he wants the boy to do well, but he is not Sanders. He thinks, however, that Shilo can thrive well on his own with some good guidance, and he won't use Shilo's dad's success as a point of contention or motivation.
