Is Le’Veon Bell bound to become a member of either the New York Jets or the Oakland Raiders?

Bell has ruled out any possibility of him playing football this season, as he let Tuesday’s deadline for franchise-tagged players to pass without him inking the Pittsburgh Steelers’ franchise tender.

Although the Steelers can still keep Bell beyond this season via another franchise tag, it would be financially burdensome for them. That means they will have to offer a $25 million franchise tender for the tailback.

With the legitimate chances of Bell leaving Pittsburgh for good next year, one sportsbook (BetOnline.ag) has released odds for his next possible employer. Among the favorites are two struggling franchises in the Jets and the Raiders, who have odds of +300 and +500 to land the services next offseason.

The Steelers can still apply the transition tag on Bell, a cheaper option than the franchise tag, but it would allow the star to explore the market while giving the team an option to match offers from other clubs.

Other teams listed with odds for the upcoming Le’Veon Bell sweepstakes are the Philadelphia Eagles (+700), the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (+700) and the San Francisco 49ers (+900).
