Many millions of people across the United States were thrilled to have the country's most popular form of entertainment back (even in empty stadiums), but one prominent American — President Trump — was seemingly not entertained by Sunday's action.

“Football's boring as hell” President Donald Trump said Sunday night at a non-socially distanced indoor rally near Las Vegas, while the Dallas Cowboys and Los Angeles Rams played on Sunday Night Football. “It’s just not the same, right?”

Trump has repeatedly excoriated the NFL — the league that has not offered a job to Colin Kaepernick since 2017 — and its players over the years for displaying varying degrees of support for equality and peacefully protesting racism and police brutality.

“Wouldn't you love to see one of these NFL owners, when somebody disrespects our flag, to say, ‘Get that son of a b—- off the field right now!'” Trump notoriously said in 2017, addressing the protests of Kaepernick and others.

Trump has consistently expressed his ire with athletes and sports leagues who show support for basic human rights.

At Sunday's rally, Trump also claimed that he used to be asked not to schedule events during football games, but now says he is asked “can you possibly do it during a football game?”, which definitely doesn't sound like a thing he casually made up out of thin air.

President Donald Trump, who cited bone spurs to opt out of the Vietnam War and whose utter disrespect for military service members was recently covered in The Atlantic, has also called the league soft for changing its rules to protect against head injuries.

“Football is officially dead — so much for ‘America’s sport.’ Goodbye NFL . . . I’m gone,” Eric Trump, the president’s son, recently tweeted, echoing the sentiments of his father during an interview with Clay Travis earlier this month.

Needless to say, President Trump and the NFL aren't on good terms.
