The Carolina Panthers seem to be more than ready to part ways with quarterback Cam Newton. It appears they are signing quarterback Teddy Bridgewater, and have already even posted a “thank you” to Newton on social media.

Due to that, it feels pretty inevitable that they will be trading Newton at some point before the start of the season. To who though?

Bet the Pigskin posted odds for which team will acquire the quarterback's services. And they have the Washington Redskins and the New England Patriots at the top.

A lot of those teams make sense. Washington is a little confusing because they just spent a first-round pick on Dwayne Haskins last season. And despite what many say, he actually came on really nicely at the end of the season.

However, the Redskins may want to bring someone else in if they feel they can help them compete right now.

The Patriots are in an obvious position of need, with Tom Brady signing with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So they definitely make sense as one of the top teams that could pursue Cam Newton, with their starter currently being Jarrett Stidham.

However, New England could also be looking into Andy Dalton as a potential quarterback they could acquire via a trade.

The Miami Dolphins and Jacksonville Jaguars both stand to reason. But both have young quarterbacks on the team as well, and (the Dolphins especially) could be looking into a quarterback in the draft.

The Oakland Raiders missed out on the Brady sweepstakes, so who knows with them.

The Denver Broncos are pretty big long shots, as they have Drew Lock, who showed promise last season. They might want a veteran though.

The Pittsburgh Steelers have Ben Roethlisberger. But an injury last season showed them his time might be running out.

Finally, the Cincinnati Bengals, who make very little sense. They have Andy Dalton at the moment. More importantly though, they have the first pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, and with it will likely be taking Joe Burrow to become their new franchise quarterback.

Cam Newton will land somewhere though. His resume is too impressive for a team to not want to take a chance on him. The only question seems to be, who will it be?

According to Bet the Pigskin, look out for the Redskins and the Patriots.
