New Orleans Pelicans shooting guard Josh Hart says free agent running back Todd Gurley has “got to go” to the New Orleans Saints.

The Los Angeles Rams waived Gurley on Thursday. The Rams would have owed him $10.5 million if he was still on the team's roster at 4 p.m. ET.

Hart, who is in his first season with the Pelicans after beginning his career with the Los Angeles Lakers, believes Gurley would love New Orleans and playing for the Saints:

Gurley's health has been a question mark since the end of the 2018 season. His trainer, Travelle Gaines, who also works with Miami Heat All-Star Jimmy Butler, told CBS Sports last summer Gurley is dealing with an “arthritic component to his knee.”

Every football fan began getting worried about Gurley's health after his performance in Super Bowl LIII against the New England Patriots. The All-Pro running back received just 12 touches, as Rams head coach Sean McVay must have known Todd's knee wasn't right.

This past season for the Rams, Gurley carried the ball 223 times for just 857 yards. The three-time Pro-Bowler did get in the endzone 12 times. However, the Rams missed the playoffs after getting to the Super Bowl the previous season.

For his career, Gurley has racked up 5,404 yards on the ground. There will be a team who will pick him up since he's only 25 and still has a lot of talent despite his knee issues.

We'll see if Hart gets his wish and sees the former Rams star in a Saints uniform in 2020-21.
