Two teams which had dominant offensive performances in Week 1 take the field against each other in Week 2 in Pennsylvania. It’s time to continue our NFL odds series and make a 49ers-Eagles prediction and pick.

In their win last week against the Lions, the 49ers scored an outstanding 41 points. Meanwhile, the Eagles had a very good offensive day of their own, scoring 32 points in a win over the Falcons. While the 49ers defense crumbled late, both Philadelphia and San Francisco ended up on top. But in Philly's case, they were fantastic all-around the entire game, only allowing the Falcons to score six points.

Here’s how the bookmakers have set the lines for Sunday's matchup.

NFL Odds: 49ers-Eagles Odds

San Francisco 49ers (-170)

Philadelphia Eagles (+150)

Over 50 points (-115)

Under 50 points (-105)

Why The 49ers Could Win

If your team scores 41 points, there's a good chance that multiple things are going right. In the 49ers case, that could not have been more true. By halftime, the 49ers had already scored 31 points and were looking like the best offense in all of football. It must be said that this performance occurred against a dismal Lions defense, but that also shouldn't take away from the fact that the 49ers looked really good in Week 1. Jimmy Garoppolo threw for 314 yards and a touchdown. Trey Lance added a touchdown on his only pass attempt of the game. If the 49ers can implement both quarterbacks more within the same game, this offense can get even more dominant. The ground game poured in two scores as well. In what should be a very high-scoring game, the 49ers can win this game by doing exactly what they did last week. Scoring early, scoring often, and putting up 35+ points to offset an Eagles team which will likely put up 30+ again as well.

Why The Eagles Could Win

If the 49ers looked like the best offense in football in Week 1, then the Eagles looked like the best overall team in Week 1. Jalen Hurts threw for three touchdowns with no interceptions, Kenneth Gainwell rushed in for a score, and the defense held Matt Ryan to just 164 passing yards with no touchdowns. The Falcons leading rusher had just 54 yards, while their leading receiver had just 51 yards. This performance, while incredible, is certainly rare, so don't expect Philly to be holding teams without a touchdown all that often. But against a 49ers offense that fell flat in the second half last week, the Eagles defense can definitely put on a similar show. Look for the defensive line to come after Jimmy G., forcing him into at least rushed throw into the secondary. The loss of Raheem Mostert will also hurt the 49ers rushing game, which will force Jimmy G. to throw even more often. Meanwhile, Jalen Hurts looks to continue improving as one of the NFL's most underrated quarterbacks. This high-scoring game narrative can be changed if the Eagles defense plays close to how they did against the Falcons.

Final 49ers-Eagles Prediction & Pick

The 49ers offense plays like they did in the second half against the Lions, putting up just 20 points in a disappointing showing. Jalen Hurts throws for another three touchdowns as the Eagles get a relatively easy win over the 49ers, winning 33-20.
