The Arizona Cardinals are hoping to get off to a fast start in the 2020 season, but they'll have to do so without fans being present.

According to the team's official Twitter account, the Cardinals' first two homes will not be open for fans to attend.

The Cardinals are scheduled to kick off the 2020 season against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 1 as the road team. However, following their NFC West battle with the 49ers, Arizona will have two consecutive home contests in Weeks 2 and 3. The two teams they will face in those two weeks are the Washington Football Team and the Detroit Lions.

Other teams around the NFL have announced their plans for fan attendance for the upcoming season amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Some teams are able to operate their stadiums at a limited or near-full capacity.

On the other hand, there are some teams that are going to begin the season with no fans permitted at home games. The Pittsburgh Steelers revealed on Thursday that they won't have fans for their first two home games.

Since earlier in the offseason, the Cardinals have been labeled as a team to keep an eye on in 2020. Besides Kyler Murray entering his second year under center, Arizona acquired DeAndre Hopkins via trade from the Houston Texans. Plus, the team will get a full season of Kenyan Drake as their No. 1 running back.

Expectations are high for the Cardinals as they prepare to make the playoffs for the first time since 2015. Regardless of the team's goals, their first two games at State Farm Stadium will be sans fans this season.
