Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray managed to fit the billing as the No. 1 pick in the 2019 NFL Draft last season. It appears his efforts were more than enough to earn him the respect of his peers in this year's edition of the NFL Network's Top 100 list.

Every year, the ballots are cast by players and coaches around the league to determine the cream of the crop. Murray kicked off the second part of the special after being ranked No. 90 on the list, via the team's official Twitter:

Murray's debut on this list hardly comes as any surprise considering what he managed to accomplish during his rookie year with the Cardinals. He finished the 2019 campaign throwing for 3,722 yards, throwing 20 touchdowns, and 12 interceptions while tacking on 544 yards and four touchdowns on the ground. His efforts down the stretch helped him edge out Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs for Offensive Rookie of the Year honors.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury has not been shy about the expectations for Murray heading into the 2020 NFL season. The Cardinals are hoping to see the same kind of MVP jump in Year 2 that Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson experienced last season. They have made efforts to help solidify this notion with their lopsided acquisition of wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins.

Although the budding Cardinals star may be on the verge of a breakout year, it seems the developers for Madden 21 were not all too impressed after he ranked 21st among QBs with a 77 overall rating. It is safe to say that he will be looking to make significant jumps in both rankings this season.
