Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray is facing some uncertainty after injuring his left ankle during their Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers.
Murray was seen limping on the final drive of the game against the Packers, raising concerns that his injury is quite serious. After the game, he did mention he is fine, but latest reports indicate that doesn't seem to be the case.
According to Jay Glazer of Fox Sports, the Cardinals QB has a medial ankle sprain that could sideline him between one to three weeks. Head coach Kliff Klingsburry, meanwhile, noted that the young signal-caller is day-to-day because of the injury.
He has a medial ankle sprain, they are hoping the extra rest allows him to not miss games. https://t.co/6mmwpB5Yh5

By the looks of it, Kyler Murray is facing a battle against time in order to suit up for their Week 9 outing against the San Francisco 49ers. However, the Cardinals are expected to be cautious with his condition given that he could easily reaggravate it if he rushed back to the field.
The good thing for Arizona, of course, is that Murray has gotten some extra rest due to their early schedule for Week 8–playing Thursday Night Football in their highly entertaining affair against the Packers. Those added days surely goes a long way in ensuring he is perfectly healthy.
Hopefully, though, Murray won't have to miss games despite his injury. The Cardinals will certainly want to get back on track as quickly as possible after starting the season at 7-0 before tasting their first defeat.
