Though Lamar Jackson has been a resounding success since taking the reins of the Ravens' offense, the former league MVP had been shut out by the Titans and Chargers, respectively, in his previous two attempts to win a playoff match. While his initial loss against the Chargers in the 2018 playoffs came with Baltimore listed as the underdogs, it was the upset by the Titans the following season that led many to conclude that Jackson was incapable of getting it done in the postseason.
After Sunday's rematch with Tennessee, fans can put that storyline to bed.
Capped by a 48-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, Jackson became only the second quarterback in the Super Bowl era to have accrued over 100 rushing yards in a single game, joining Colin Kaepernick, who performed the feat with the San Francisco 49ers.

While he only added 179 passing yards and failed to throw a touchdown, the pressure he exerted on the Titans' defense up front ensured that Baltimore had ample space to work with downfield–a stark departure from their playoff matchup last season.
With the win, the Ravens have advanced to AFC Divisional Round and will await the winner of the Cleveland Browns-Pittsburgh Steelers matchup to determine their next opponent. Should Pittsburgh secure the victory as they are favored to do, Baltimore would be in line to face the top-seeded Kansas City Chiefs.
While the Ravens will certainly have their work cut out for them regardless of who their opponent is, they will similarly depend on Jackson to save the day. After his performance against the Titans, there should be little doubt he can do just that–no matter what time of year it is.
