Although former Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians landed in the hot seat during the 2017 NFL season, many were surprised to hear about his decision to officially retire from coaching at the end of the season. However, it seems he is not ready to walk away from the game of football entirely.
With Jon Gruden now back with the Oakland Raiders, there is now a spot open on ESPN's Monday Night Football. While it may seem a bit far-fetched, Arians admitted that he would love to make the transition over the broadcast with his coaching career now done, according to ESPN's Josh Weinfuss:
“Oh gosh, I'd be interested,” Arians said. “I don't think they're interested in me. But that would be like the dream job, especially working with someone as good as Sean [McDonough]. That'd be fun. That's obviously a home run.”
Arians went on to say that he hopes to remain involved with the game moving forward.

You're in the locker room, you're doing production meetings with players and coaches. In a studio, you get a broader perspective, maybe you can tell more stories. I'm probably a better storyteller.”
Arians enjoyed an accomplished coaching career prior to his sudden retirement. He became one of the most well-respected figures throughout the league and also finished as the winningest coach in Arizona Cardinals history.
Needless to say, he would be a prime candidate to provide some color commentary on today's game. Arians has reportedly already met with Fox and the NFL Network about a potential TV gig in the near future.
