The Buffalo Bills have been relatively quiet this offseason compared to other teams throughout the league. One of those teams is the Cleveland Browns, which recently acquired quarterback Deshaun Watson in a shocking trade.
Saturday afternoon, news broke that the two teams participated in the latest NFL quarterback transaction. Case Keenum was traded to the Bills. The Browns received a 2022 seventh-round draft pick in exchange for the veteran quarterback.
NFL Network's Tom Pelissero tweeted the news Saturday afternoon.

While this is nowhere near the biggest quarterback trade in recent weeks, it is important for both teams. The Browns gained an extra opportunity in the upcoming draft to add to their roster and build around Watson. Meanwhile, the Bills obtained a solid backup if Josh Allen is out of commission for any reason.
Fortunately, the Bills starting quarterback has remained relatively healthy in recent years. Most recently, Allen dealt with pedal toe/turf toe in the Bills' Week 14 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Keenum began his career with the Houston Texans after going undrafted in 2012. He spent his first five seasons between the Texans and the St. Louis/Los Angeles Rams. Keenum joined the Minnesota Vikings in 2017, Denver Broncos in 2018, and the Washington Commanders (then Washington Redskins) in 2019. He spent the last two seasons with the Browns.
