The Buffalo Bills are going to have a new-look offense in 2020 and their wide receiver room is beginning to take shape. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Bills have released a few of their wide receivers on Saturday, including Robert Foster.

Of course, the notable addition to Buffalo's receiving corps this offseason was Stefon Diggs via trade from the Minnesota Vikings. The expectation is for Diggs to form a formidable trio alongside veterans John Brown and Cole Beasley.

Besides Diggs, Brown, and Beasley, the Bills were holding an open competition at the rest of their wide receiver spots. The wide receivers to compete for roster spots were Duke Williams, Andre Roberts, Foster, Gabriel Davis, and Isaiah Hodgins.

Seeing that Williams, Roberts, and Foster were released, Buffalo is going with a youthful route as their depth options. Both Davis and Hodgins are rookies, with both of them being selected in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Of the wide receivers that the Bills released, Foster may be the biggest surprise to some. Foster, who is entering his third year in the NFL, is just two years removed from showing flashes of potential as a rookie for the Bills.

Going back to 2018, Foster signed with Buffalo as an undrafted wideout out of Alabama. Amid the team's struggles at wide receiver, Foster got a chance to prove himself. In his debut season, he would haul in 27 catches for 541 yards and three touchdowns.

Despite his production in 2018, he fell out of the rotation in 2019, hauling in just three receptions for 64 yards. As a result, the Bills attempted to trade him this offseason. But after finding no possible suitors, Foster finds himself looking for a new team in free agency.
