With the NFL Draft drawing nearer, teams are getting in as many meetings as they can with prospects. Notably, the Buffalo Bills are set to visit with DK Metcalf.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Metcalf is among a few NFL Draft prospects to have visits set up. The Bills need a wide receiver, so this should come as no surprise.
As of now, the Bills currently sit with the ninth overall pick in this year's draft. They may use it on a highly-touted wideout such as the Ole Miss product.
DK Metcalf made people notice him at the NFL Combine and his college pro day. The Ole Miss wideout is a freakish athlete, standing at 6-3 and weighing 228 pounds but able run a 4.33 40-yard dash.
Also, he topped his impressive combine mark with a 40.5-inch vertical jump. He has the athletic tools to be a standout receiver in the NFL, but he needs to polish his football skills to improve at the next level.
In college at Ole Miss, Metcalf was used as a deep-threat receiver who would run past defenders, then jump over them. Do you know who loves to heave the ball deep? Josh Allen.
Picking Metcalf would make a ton of sense for the Bills in many ways. It gives them a deep-threat receiver who could turn into an even more complete player in the NFL.
If you have seen the pictures of DK Metcalf in the gym, you should know that this guy's work ethic is phenomenal. Although draft visits don't guarantee interest from both sides, there is likely some type of interest between Metcalf and the Bills.
