The Buffalo Bills made a statement on Sunday Night Football against the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs. Josh Allen and Co. went into Arrowhead Stadium and whooped up on Patrick Mahomes' Chiefs, taking home a convincing 38-20 victory in a rematch of last season's AFC Championship Game.

The Bills have now won four games in a row after losing in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and they're looking like the cream of the crop in the AFC thanks to their dominance. However, Allen knows this season is far from over and isn't impressed by anything yet:

As good as Buffalo has been, this is the right mindset to have. It's a long season, and there could be a lot of twists and turns along the way. The Bills just need to take it one week at a time and keep doing what they're doing, because it certainly is working.

Buffalo is annihilating the competition, now boasting a ridiculous plus-108 point differential after just five games. The Bills have the best scoring offense and scoring defense in the NFL.

For his part, Allen put up monster numbers despite only throwing 26 passes on Sunday. He completed 15 of those passes for a whopping 315 yards and three touchdowns with zero interceptions against a weak Chiefs defense. The star quarterback also rushed 11 times for 59 yards and a touchdown.

Meanwhile, Buffalo forced four Kansas City turnovers, including two interceptions and a forced fumble against Mahomes. The Chiefs have been out of sorts to start this season and have some clear issues.

It has been a tour de force for the Bills, and they have to be viewed as the current favorite in the AFC thanks to their elite play on both sides of the ball. While the Arizona Cardinals own the best record in the NFL at 5-0, Buffalo would likely be the favorite in that matchup right now. Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers are obviously lurking over in the NFC as well, along with a number of other good teams across the league, but nobody has looked as good as the Bills so far.

But, again, as Allen said, there's a long way to go.
