According to James Palmer of NFL Network, Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has taken over for Nate Peterman in their Week 1 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens. Allen will be the first rookie quarterback from the 2018 NFL Draft class to get his shot in a regular season NFL game.

It hasn't looked good for the Bills. The team trailed 40-0 under the leadership of Peterman. He completed a mere 5 of 18 passing attempts for 24 passing yards and two interceptions. The game is definitely out of reach, so Allen will get a chance to show what he's got and earn the starting spot for next week's game against the Los Angeles Chargers.

If not, the Bills may need to start making moves to acquire a veteran quarterback to save their season before it goes completely down the drain. The Ravens have a third string option in Robert Griffin III that has a similar skillset to their former quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
After shipping A.J. McCarron off to the Raiders, the Bills gave themselves the least desirable quarterback situation in the entire NFL. The Ravens are no slouch, but by no means are they the toughest team the Bills have on their docket this year. The Bills still have matchups with the Minnesota Vikings, Green Bay Packers, New England Patriots, and Chicago Bears in the regular season this year. If this season turns into a trial year for Allen, the will lose a lot more games.
