Quarterback Josh Allen is the first round pick for the Buffalo Bills and the pressure is on him to become the team's new franchise quarterback. But it's the team's other first-rounder, Tremaine Edmunds, who has stolen the show this offseason.

The Bills traded up to the 16th pick to select the Virginia Tech linebacker, and he is expected to have a big role on a team that desperately needs a star at the linebacker position. The Bills players and coaches have been impressed with what they have seen from the rookie, and are expecting big things this year from him. Second-year cornerback Tre'Davious White was on Good Morning Football and told the guys it wouldn't be long before this guy is a star.

“This is an alpha male here,” White said. “The guy goes sideline to sideline, he's a 4.4 [forty-yard dash] guy. He has tremendous brains, athleticism, his knowledge of the game is next to none.

“Since the first day he's got here, man, he's commanded the huddle on the defensive side of the ball. You could tell by OTAs he's been getting tremendously comfortable in the playbook and every day he's getting better and better. By that first game, he's going to be knocking folks around.”

It's impressive when a rookie already has the confidence to command a huddle, and it's even more impressive when they can get the older guys to listen to him.

If Edmunds can already get the older guys to listen to him, he is going to be a leader on this team for a long time. He has all the talent to be one of the best linebackers in the league, and he has already shown his teammates why.
