The Carolina Panthers are a talented team in the NFC with superstar quarterback leading the way in Cam Newton. However, the franchise is coming off a disappointing season in which the team missed the NFL playoffs and questions began to swirl about Newton's ability to lead this team back to a Super Bowl in the future.
After some changes during the NFL offseason, the Panthers could be a team to watch in the NFC as their offense will look different due to the arrival of Norv Turner. The new offensive coordinator has received rave reviews thus far and may be exactly what's needed to unleash Cam Newton and company. Wide receiver Devin Funchess recently recalled seeing Newton for the first time and his reaction to one-time NFL MVP.

The trio of Newton, Funchess, and Christian McCaffrey could be lethal during the 2018 NFL season. Turner will be doing everything in his power to get the best out of these three offensive weapons, and early indications have been a promising sign for Carolina moving forward.
As for Newton, the three-time Pro Bowler will try to get this team back on track as a legitimate Super Bowl title contender after somewhat taking a step back last year. Carolina finished with an 11-5 record last season, but that wasn't enough in a highly competitive NFC South division with the Atlanta Falcons and New Orleans Saints hitting their stride.
