Monday night against the New Orleans Saints, Carolina Panther's star quarterback Cam Newton decided to be a bit petty with his division rivals; he will be wearing cleats with brooms.

Panthers quarterback Cam Newton was given a broom last year. And it wasn’t to sweep up some crumbs. Rather, it was a present the NFL South divisional rivals that swept the Panthers in three games last season. Newton is using New Orleans’ pettiness as motivation for Monday night’s game against Drew Brees and the Saints.
Newton claimed the gift was “disrespectful, disrespectful” that somebody would even consider sending it.
“I didn’t take the pack[aging] off,” Newton told ESPN Thursday. “I’m going to resend it to the sender if everything gets taken care of the way we know we can do it.”
“Look,” Newton said, “at the end of the day, the Saints of this past year and this year — we all know what the Saints used to be. Let’s not forget the real history. They got the juice [now]. At the end of the day, [we’re] coming Monday with a cup for our own, too.”
Coming into Monday night's game against the Saints the Panthers are 6-7 ranking 2nd in the NFC South Division under head coach Ron Rivera. They average 24.9 points per game which ranks 12th in the NFL. However, they give up 25.5 points per game, which ranks 23rd in the NFL.
The New Orleans Saints are 11-2 on the season and rank first in the NFC South Division under the helm of Head Coach Sean Payton. The Saints average 34.4 points per game, which ranks 2nd in the NFL. They allow 21.8 points per game, which ranks 11th in the NFL. The Saints are led 39-year-old superstar quarterback Drew Brees. Likely this year's MVP, Brees has thrown for 3,463 yards, 31 touchdowns, and only four interceptions.
