The Cincinnati Bengals are preparing for a crucial divisional showdown this weekend against the Baltimore Ravens and they've received some delightful news ahead of the game.

Running back Joe Mixon, who injured his ankle against the Denver Broncos in Week 15, practiced on Wednesday and looks to be in line to play on Sunday. Speaking to reporters, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor offered a positive update on Mixon. Via PFT:

“Joe is feeling pretty good,” Taylor said.

Mixon's ankle got caught under a defender on a late fourth-down run against Denver as he hit the ground in pain. But, the fact that he's already back out there practicing is very encouraging.

The Bengals RB is having a monster campaign, rushing for 1,094 yards on 262 carries. He also has 12 touchdowns on the ground and two more in the air. Mixon is just over 400 yards shy of league leader Jonathan Taylor, who is lighting it up for the Indianapolis Colts.

This weekend is huge for the Bengals because a victory can move them closer to an AFC North crown after the Ravens lost in Week 15 and Cincinnati won. Needless to say, it's going to be an absolute battle and they will need another valiant effort from Joe Mixon and Joe Burrow.
