Just when you thought the Cleveland Browns have no more moves to make this offseason, they start to make some waves again.
According to ESPN NFL Insider Field Yates, the Browns have started extending feelers towards the veteran edge rusher Jadeveon Clowney.

It should be noted that Cleveland has been making plenty of moves in free agency, especially on the defensive front. S John Johnson, DE Takk McKinley, and CB Troy Hill are all brand new Browns going into next year, so many have been anticipating that the team was more than ready to sit tight in waiting for the upcoming April draft.
Apparently not.
Article Continues BelowClowney is one of the biggest names remaining on the free agency board, and for good reason: the edge rusher seems restless, as his price ($15 million last year) did not match his production (8 games played, 19 total tackles, 0 sacks).
Luckily for him, the bigger edge-rushing fish have all been hooked. Bud Dupree will usurp his place on the Titans, Shaq Barrett is running it back with the incumbent champions in Tampa Bay, and JJ Watt has now joined Deandre Hopkins in a seemingly mass exodus from Houston to Arizona.
It's possible that the Browns have waited to see if any other team would bite on Clowney, which has proven to be wise. The team is coming off of its best season in years, and with their aforementioned moves this offseason, they are definitely looking like an organization that's wanting to win now.
But for a team that blew a lot of smoke with its flashy signings a few years back, the browns are showing plenty of restraint here now. Myles Garrett needs a running mate for sure, but the Browns are seemingly comfortable waiting until the draft if Clowney demands too much.
Right now, it looks like most other suitors have moved on, which would explain why the Browns have chosen to show their hand. We'll see how this visit goes, so stay tuned to this developing story.
