The Cleveland Browns were able to escape in a low-scoring matchup against the Houston Texans on Sunday. Both squads were held back in advances by the opposing defenses for most of the contest. While the Browns were able to come away with the 10-7 win, it was fizzled out by a glaring record of scoring no more than 10 points in a contest while achieving more than 230 rushing yards.
The Cleveland Browns are the first NFL team to rush for 230+ yards, while scoring no more than 10 points, since the Philadelphia Eagles did it on December 7th, 1986.

That same downfall hasn't been seen since 1986 by the Philadelphia Eagles, over 30 years ago. The individual metrics in the outing didn't pose much of a threat either for the Texans. Baker Mayfield, after having some tremendous outings, finished the contest completing 12-of-20 passes for 132 yards. He was unsuccessful in finding any targets in the endzone through all four quarters.
The bulk of those 230-plus rushing yards by the Browns was compiled by Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt, with both players combining for a total of 230 yards. The other lone yard was accomplished by Mayfield on an attempted scramble.
Hunt leads the team in rushing, with 529 yards under his belt coming into Week 10. The 25-year old halfback's stats are a cut above his prior year performances in eight games, which resulted in only 179 rushing yards from 43 carries. He missed the first eight games of the 2019 season due to a personal conduct policy violation.
Article Continues BelowWith the victory, the Browns move to 6-3 for the season and remain third in the NFC North. Their overall schedule for the remainder of the season is feasible, with only formidable opponents such as the Baltimore Ravens, Pittsburgh Steelers and Tennessee Titans remaining.
