Since stepping away from the game well over a decade ago, Hall of Famer Jerry Rice has earned the strong reputation as being the best wide receiver to play in the NFL. This argument has even seen him get heavy consideration for being the top player that the league has ever had.

This is a notion that Cleveland Browns Pro Bowl wide receiver Jarvis Landry agrees with being the case the concerning the 55-year-old, according to ESPN.

Rice has made a strong case for that huge recognition as he put together an illustrious 20-year NFL career that saw him set many league records that more than likely never been broken. He is currently the all-time leader with 1,549 receptions, 22,895 receiving yards and 197 touchdown catches.

Among these prestigious marks, he also has the all-record with 23,540 yards from scrimmage, 207 career touchdowns and 14 seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards. Rice also has the individual accolades with 13 Pro Bowl nods, 10 First-Team All-Pro selections, two NFL Offensive Player of the Year awards, led the league in receiving yards and touchdowns six times, and won three Super Bowls where he was the MVP once.

Rice was extremely productive throughout his career that continued to be a high pace even the last few seasons posting a 1,200 receiving yard campaign at the age of 40. He was a one-of-a-kind talent that set the bar for the many wide receivers in the NFL that have come after him.
