There have been a couple of running backs that have received lucrative extensions this offseason, but that hasn't fazed Nick Chubb of the Cleveland Browns.
As he enters his third year with the Browns, Chubb reacted to some of his running back peers getting extensions.
“I see it, I know it’s happening, I’m aware of it,’' Chubb said, via Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com. “But I’m just focusing on this team right now. I’m a big believer in everything happens for a reason. Whatever happens to me, it will be for the best. I’m trying to get better every day and not worry about the future.’'

Most recently, Joe Mixon inked a long-term deal with the Cincinnati Bengals worth $48 million over four years. In addition to those three guys, there a handful of running backs in the 2017 and 2018 NFL Drafts that are seeking deals with their respective teams.
For Chubb, he's in his third season with the Browns after beginning his career as a second-round pick out of Georgia in 2018. Similar to the latter portion of last season, Chubb is expected to have a heavy workload but will share touches with Kareem Hunt in 2020.
Chubb has two years remaining on his rookie deal and it will be a matter of time before he begins negotiating a new contract. But until that time comes, Chubb is focused on helping the Browns win games.
