Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay is making the rounds, claiming that there's nothing all that wrong with Andrew Luck and the gunslinger's shoulder.
While Jim Irsay might not be the most trustworthy man in the National Football League, as reports previously stated some were a bit concerned that Andrew Luck's issues were in his mind, he does have more information regarding the matter than the general public.
Speaking from this week’s league meetings, the Colts owner offered an update of sorts. He told Ian Rapoport of NFL Media that Luck is expected to return to the U.S. soon and that there’s no surgery planned at this point. “He’s doing great,” Irsay told Rapoport.
“He’s doing well,” Irsay said. “[We’re] disappointed obviously it’s taken as long as it’s taken. You know, medicine and the way it goes. But there hasn’t been any unusual setback. We didn’t find out anything ominous, something we didn’t know about or anything like that. It’s just taken time for him to go through his whole aspect of rehabbing and progressing and working through the soreness.”
I guess that is a big deal. It would be weirder if Irsay came out to say, “Welp, we found the ooze from Ghostbusters 2 growing in his shoulder.”
Do you guys think Andrew Luck will be back in time for the start of next season? Even if so, will he be a shell of his former self or the franchise savior most projected him to be?
Also, do you trust the words coming out of Irsay's mouth?
