Through his first two-plus seasons in the NFL, Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott has quickly emerged as one of the best players in the league at his position.

Elliott has continued to take his game to the next level this season behind his elite level of production that he has ramped up over the last few weeks. According to Pro Football Focus, he has tallied up more missed tackles over the last four weeks than he notched in the first seven weeks of the year.

Elliott has taken his level of production to the next level each of the last three weeks with more than 120 rushing yards and a touchdown. Those numbers have pushed him to a league-best 1,074 rushing yards. He has been the driving force offensively for the Cowboys throughout the year, especially through their current three-game win streak.

The 23-year-old has recorded six games with more than 100 rushing yards, which is a league-best mark, along with being tied for the most 20-plus yard rushes (eight). He has also been a major factor as a receiver with 47 receptions for 363 yards and two touchdowns. His ability to impact the game as a dual factor has allowed him to be depended on in a greater capacity as the centerpiece of the offense.

That ability has helped earn him the recognition as one of the best all-around talents in the league. He will be the key piece of the puzzle that will attempt to push the Cowboys to the playoffs.

Dallas currently holds the tiebreaker over the Washington Redskins, which will be tested in next Thursday's primetime game against the New Orleans Saints that will likely see Elliott play a major factor in helping his team try to extend their winning streak to four games.
