The last time the Dallas Cowboys hosted the Super Bowl seven years ago it was a disaster. There was an ice storm that played a big role heading into Super Bowl week and caused a lot of peoples plans to be changed. A few hours before the game was to kick off over 1200 temporary seats were deemed unsafe and it left over 400 fans without a place to sit.

But as bad as their first  Super Bowl was, the Cowboys don't believe it should be their last and they want to have a do-over:

“Obviously, we’ve got a little chip on our shoulder about that one because we had a snowstorm and it didn’t go perfect,” Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones told Schuyler Dixon of the Associated Press. “There’s a big school of thought in the league that these things should go to kind of vacation-type spots, South Florida and Southern California and Phoenix and New Orleans. I get that. We’d still like a redo there.”

For the NF,L although there hasn't been much talk of the Cowboys getting another chance, financially it does make a ton of sense. Super Bowl XLV drew 103,219 and if they were to host it again it would probably be higher than that number.

The weather also seemed like a fluke as the average high in Arlington Texas in February is 61 degrees. Even it was a bit colder Minnesota showed that a Super Bowl can be hosted in colder weather, as long as the stadium has a roof. Look in the next few years for the Cowboys to really make a big push, and the NFL to probably agree.
