Heading into the final month of the season, the Dallas Cowboys are in the thick of the race for one of the NFC's Wild Card playoff spots.
However, Dallas may have to play the New York Giants without the services of defensive tackle David Irving after he was entered into the concussion protocol today, according to Clarence Hill Jr. of Fort Worth Star-Telegram.

In the eight games Irving has played since returning from a four-game PED suspension, he has helped provide the Cowboys a stable pass rush with a career-high 7.0 sacks as well as a forced fumble, six pass deflections, and three run stuffs.
His absence could create more issues in the interior of the Cowboys defense that has been without Pro Bowl linebacker Sean Lee for the last few weeks. Meanwhile, starting cornerback Orlando Scandrick is dealing with two transverse fractures in his back that could force him out of Sunday's game against the Giants. Lee is hoping to make a return this weekend.
Dallas has struggled defensively for much of the season, ranking 21st overall while giving up 23.7 points per contest through the first 12 games. They finish up the year with a pair of divisional matchups against the Giants and Philadelphia Eagles, along with games against the Oakland Raiders and Seattle Seahawks.
