Dallas Cowboys center Travis Frederick has been through a lot the last year, dealing with a Guillain-Barré diagnosis. Yet, he is happy to be back with the team.
“I’m just glad to be back and be able to write the next chapter in this story,” Frederick said Wednesday via Pro Football Talk.
Next week he will go through a series of tests by his doctors to make sure there is no permanent damage and as long as there isn't he will officially be cleared from the diagnosis.
Frederick hasn't been participating in OTAs as he recovers from two other offseason surgeries, but everything is looking good for him to be ready for training camp.

There’s the return from Guillain-Barré. I had a umbilical hernia repair, so that kind of knocked out my lowers for a while, and I had the shoulder repair, so it knocked out my uppers for a while. So I’m still coming back. I’m a little bit behind in the offseason lifting program compared to everybody else because they started a few weeks before I did, but I do feel really good in both areas of where I am at this point.”
The team is working him back slowly, which Frederick is happy about because it should help him knock off the rust before he plays in a real game. The Cowboys offensive line was solid last year, and with Frederick back they are one of the best units in the league.
