Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper has been diagnosed with a thigh bruise, according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. Rapoport adds that there is “no indication of long-term damage.”

Cooper suffered the injury during the first quarter of the Cowboys' loss to the New York Jets on Sunday and did not return.

The 25-year-old has been banged up all season, dealing with foot and ankle injuries. However, he has not missed a game and has still been very productive, logging 33 catches for 515 yards and five touchdowns.

Cooper joined Dallas midway through last year after coming over in a trade with the Oakland Raiders. In nine games with the Cowboys in 2018, he caught 53 passes for 725 yards and six scores. On the season overall, he hauled in 75 receptions for 1,005 yards while reaching the end zone seven times, making the Pro Bowl as a result.

The Miami native, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by the Raiders with the fourth overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

He enjoyed a terrific rookie campaign, snaring 72 balls for 1,070 yards and six touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance. He then followed that up by registering 83 catches for 1,153 yards and five scores in 2016, earning another Pro Bowl selection.

However, in 2017, Cooper had a very disappointing year, finishing with just 48 receptions for 680 yards and seven touchdowns.

His slow start with Oakland in 2018 then ultimately resulted in the Raiders trading him to the Cowboys.

Dallas has lost three straight games after getting off to a 3-0 start.
