The Dallas Cowboys have been dealing with their fair share of injuries with one preseason game left before the start of the 2019 NFL season. Fortunately, it appears wide receiver Amari Cooper's status for Week 1 is not in jeopardy.
Cooper has been dealing with plantar fasciitis in his left foot since the beginning of August. According to NFL Network's Jane Slater, he is slated to make his return in the season opener against the New York Giants:

This is certainly an encouraging sign for Cooper. The timing of his injury was hardly ideal given it was so close to the start of the regular season, but it seems the Cowboys have taken every precaution they can to ensure a healthy recovery after having him sit out the preseason.
The decision makes sense considering the potential investment they are set to make in Cooper. While running back Ezekiel Elliott's holdout has dominated the headlines, the three-time Pro Bowler is also set to receive his lucrative payday as well.
Any potential missed time would deal a crucial blow to Dallas. Cooper's arrival helped revitalize this Cowboys' offense by adding an explosive dynamic to the passing game. Expectations are now as high as ever going into the 2019 campaign now that he has a full offseason with the team under his belt.
