Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Amari Cooper has enjoyed quite the resurgence over the last several games. He attributes his recent success to the trade from the Oakland Raiders.

Cooper has quickly become the bonafide No. 1 wideout in Dallas. According to Kimberley Martin of Yahoo Sports, he admitted the change of scenery has done wonders for his performance:

“Just reflecting on my last four games here and my personality here, I feel like it did change me, as far as having that chip on my shoulder,” Cooper said. “Not that I wasn’t passionate before, but playing with more passion, trying to intentionally have fun out there. It definitely has changed me, in terms of me going out there and just having fun with it. Because when you get traded, you start to think, ‘Wow, that can happen, just like that.'”

There is certainly plenty of truth to Cooper's comments. Although he had made a name for himself as one of the most promising, young wideouts in Oakland, his performance largely fluctuated. That was the case the case early in the 2018 campaign before he was traded.

Cooper registered 22 catches for 280 yards and a touchdown in six games with the Raiders. He has already hauled in 22 receptions for 349 yards and three touchdowns with the Cowboys.

More importantly, the team has also enjoyed much more success after going 3-1 since his arrival.

Dallas caught some flak for giving up a first-round pick in exchange for Cooper. However, they have clearly got plenty of return since making the deal.

Although Raiders fans may feel otherwise, it is safe to assume that the deal has worked out for all parties involved.
