Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Cole Beasley responded to some criticism aimed at his team's receiving corps last week when the Cowboys lost 24-13 to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3.

Fans claimed that Beasley and his fellow receivers weren't doing a good job of getting open. But Beasley said the receivers were getting open just fine and that the ball just wasn't finding its way to them. That was interpreted by some as a possible shot against his quarterback, Dak Prescott.

After his team's 26-24 win over the Detroit Lions in Week 4, Beasley clarified his comments and emphasized the confidence he has in Prescott.

“I have always been Dak’s biggest supporter every year, and it’s never going to change, and it hasn’t changed,” said Beasley. “That is what people do. They take your words any way they want to twist it to cause controversy and try to divide us in this locker room. But it’s not going to work. We all got chips on our shoulder and sometimes it comes out with stuff I say.”

More or less, Cole Beasley blamed the media for creating criticism of their team. He recorded 4 receptions for 53 yards in their win over the Lions. Dak Prescott threw for over 200 yards for the first time in 12 games. Beasley made it known that he will always stand behind his teammates.

“I got love for every guy in this locker room. I am going to fight for all my teammates always. That is what I feel like I was doing. I was fighting for the wideouts. They are my teammates, too. I was defending those guys,” Beasley continued.

The Cowboys are back at .500 and Ezekiel Elliott is starting to pick up steam. He ran the ball 25 times for 152 rushing yards on Sunday. He also had 4 receptions for 88 yards and a score. If Elliott keeps producing and makes use of all his skills, the Cowboys' passing game will come together just fine.
