Amid fears that Dak Prescott's injury is worse that initially feared, head coach Mike McCarthy eased those worries and confirmed that the Dallas Cowboys quarterback should be able to suit up soon.
How soon you ask? Well, try Week 9 against the Denver Broncos.
McCarthy said Prescott is a “full go” for their practice on Thursday. As Ian Rapoport of NFL Network noted, this put the Cowboys star on track to finally play against the Broncos after being a late scratch in their showdown with the Minnesota Vikings.

For his part, Dak Prescott earlier said that he was working to be able to play for Week 8, but the team eventually decided to give him some extra rest in order to avoid reaggravating his injury. This effectively shut down the NBC report that the star signal-caller has a calf tear instead of strain–an issue that would have sidelined him for at least a couple more weeks.
“I had a plan all week, trying to progress and get myself out there. We made a call at the end of having a chance to come out with win, without me playing, and be able to get healthy and not have something re-injure and linger past this week,” Prescott shared.
By the looks of it and with the way things are progressing, it seems there is no reason to fear that Prescott will miss another game. It is certainly good news for the Cowboys since they are aiming to extend their lead atop the NFC East–currently at 6-1.
