The Dallas Cowboys routed the Miami Dolphins by a score of 31-6 on Sunday afternoon, but it wasn't as easy as the score indicated.
The Cowboys found themselves up just 10-6 at halftime and could have been behind had it not been for the Dolphins missing a field goal and losing a fumble.
But, Dallas outscored Miami 21-0 in the second half to pull away for the victory, and afterward, quarterback Dak Prescott took the blame for the rough first half.

I was being too greedy,” Prescott said, according to Stefan Stevenson of The Fort Worth Star-Telegram. “One of those heat checks or whatever you call it, just trying to do too much in the first half. I said it to Kellen [Moore] at the end of the game that at the end of the first half, I was just being greedy. That’s why I said it’s a good tape to learn from, probably for me more than anybody else; just take what the defense gives me. I want these shots; you hit these shots in a couple of games, and you want them again, you get anxious. But, taking it down with those backs will get just as many yards as those deep throws and allowing the game to come to me is what I did in the second half.”
Prescott wasn't nearly as explosive as he was during the first couple of weeks of the season, but he had a solid game, completing 19 of his 32 passes for 246 yards, a couple of touchdowns, and an interception.
On the season overall, Prescott has thrown for 920 yards, nine touchdowns, and a couple of picks while completing 74.5 percent of his passes and posting a passer rating of 128.
The Cowboys improved to 3-0 with the victory and will now head on the road to take on the New Orleans Saints next Sunday.
Dallas is aiming to win its second straight NFC East division title and already has a two-game lead on the rest of the field.
