Dallas Cowboys quarterback Andy Dalton will make his return against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday. With the return of their starting QB, the Cowboys made a significant offensive line change.
They upgraded All-Pro guard Zack Martin to start at right tackle, per Tom Pelissero of the NFL Network. The move will bump rookie Terence Steele to the bench.
Just said on @NFLGameDay: The #Cowboys plan to start All-Pro guard Zack Martin at right tackle against the #Vikings, sources say. Rookie Terence Steele goes to the bench. A big shakeup as they return from the bye with Andy Dalton back at QB.

Pelissero adds that Dalton still has yet to regain his sense of taste and smell, as a result of contracting COVID-19. Nonetheless, the 33-year old participated in practice this week and should be good in the Cowboys' game against the Vikings.
#Cowboys QB Andy Dalton still can't really taste or smell, but he had a pretty good week of practice and is ready to go today against the #Vikings. @NFLGameDay @nflnetwork pic.twitter.com/YM7eSBm7x0

Dalton had already made the injury list after suffering a concussion in their Week 5 loss to the Washington Football Team. Washington's Jon Bostic delivered a hard hit to Dalton and this prompted the league to fine the linebacker.
It seemed that Dalton was ready to make a return. However, shortly after, the 3-time Pro Bowler contracted the coronavirus. Dalton admitted earlier this week that going through the illness hit him very hard.
Furthermore, even some members of his family, including his wife, tested positive for COVID-19. He was only able to return to their practice facility this week and it was only until then that he cleared the protocols for his concussion. Nonetheless, the good news for him and the Cowboys is that he's been able to get through this tough stretch.
Dallas will certainly need him back given how they've relied on him, along with Garrett Gilbert and rookie Ben DiNucci, to carry quarterbacking duties for the rest of the season after they lost star QB Dak Prescott to a gruesome ankle injury.
