The Dallas Cowboys have a quarterback problem; they don't really have one right now.

After starter Dak Prescott went down with a compound right ankle fracture, the Cowboys had to look to backup Andy Dalton to get them through the rest of the season.

Now Dalton is also out due to a concussion.

Where do you Cowboys go from here?

According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, they will ride out the rest of the season with what they have on the roster and are not planning on signing any more quarterbacks.

The other two quarterbacks on the roster are Ben DiNucci and Garrett Gilbert. DiNucci was the Cowboys' seventh-round pick in the 2020 draft out of James Madison while Gilbert is in his seventh year in the league, being drafted by the then-St Louis Rams in the sixth round of the 2014 draft.

Since his draft, he has bounced around the league, going from the Rams to the New England Patriots to the Detroit Lions to the Oakland Raiders, all on the practice squad, before finally making a full roster in 2017 with the Carolina Panthers. He would stay with the Panthers for two years before joining the Orlando Apollos of the Alliance of American Football. After the AAF folded, he joined the Cleveland Browns for a year before signing with the Cowboys. He has only played in six games in the NFL, none of them starts.

It is unclear who the Cowboys will choose to start Week 8, but either way it's safe to assume the offense will struggle. While still in contention to make the playoffs in the abysmal NFC East, America's Team will have their work cut out for them without a competent quarterback at the helm of the offense.
